after instrumental cantata introductions from Weimar for alto recorder, oboe, viola da braccio (viola d’amore, violin), viola da gamba (violoncello, viola da braccio) and basso continuo, arranged by Klaus Hofmann. Taking a cue from Bach’s liberties with his own instrumental compositions, we have attempted in the present Concertino (Durata: 7’) to add a chamber music work to his oeuvre by combining two instrumental cantata introductions (BWV152 and BWV 18) into a small “concerto da camera.”
