aria from the opera „La Silvia“ RV 734, for soprano, soprano- or sopranino recorder, strings & b. c., edited as first edition by Peter Thalheimer. The music is preserved only fragmentarily. Our aria with which the eponymous heroine Silvia opens the second act, is an example of the then popular “bird aria” in which the voice imitates birdsongs. Recorded by Cecilia Bartoli and the Ensemble Matheus (J. Spinosi) and available on Spotify and Amazon Music.
