product description

for violoncello solo, 2, oboes, 2 horns, 2 violins, viola & b. c., edited as Urtext edition by Markus Möllenbeck with a piano reduction by Roland Steinfeld. Kraft was Haydn's solo cellist in Eisenstadt, then in Vienna where he premièred Beethoven's Triple Concerto. Haydn valued Kraft not only for his exceptional skill and purity of intonation, but also for his talent as a composer and offered him composition lessons, which Kraft accepted in the early 1780s. Performers are rewarded with an original, cheerful, joyful and technically rewarding contribution to the classical concert literature. Series Il Violoncello concertato
