for viola solo, strings and 2 corni di caccia, edited by Travis Urban. The viola concerto exists as a manuscript copy by Josef Antonín Seydl (1775–1837). The form of the first movement is unique in that Hatas brings elements of baroque concerto grosso into this classical solo concerto. The tutti sections of the first movement contain several charming solos for the viola which is unusual for the time. The concerto is structured in the Italian sonata style with two movements.
