product description

21 pieces for 2 bass viols, edited by Leonore and Günter von Zadow. William Young is best known for his musical activities in Innsbruck. But he must also have been an important composer in England before then, for many of his works have survived in British libraries. With musical variety, bold harmonic turns and varying technical demands, they are worth playing for any musician. In some places they have similarities with the popular "Duos" by Locke. (see G128). Edition Güntersberg

"This is an excellent publication, with the usual high standards of printing and clarity that we have come to expect from Edition Güntersberg." THE VIOL (USA), NR. 67, 2022
