for 2 violas da gamba and basso continuo, Sünching manuscript No 3, edited as first edition by Leonore and Günter von Zadow. A bass part has not been preserved, but it is probable that these works were played with bass. For this reason, our editions include a figured bass part composed by Wolfgang Kostujak. The music is very varied. Alongside majestic, chordal introductions, there are fugal sections, virtuoso viol solos, variations on catchy themes, magnificent chaconnes, and fast, at times wild conclusions. Edition Güntersberg
