product description
for viola (violoncello) and harpsichord (pianoforte), edited as first edition by Thomas Fritzsch and Günter von Zadow. Sperger is known to us primarily as the composer of eighteen successful and unique double bass concertos. As was often the case at the time the keyboard instrument plays the main role, while the string instrument has more of an accompanying function, which is nevertheless indispensable for the sound experience. The piano part is characterised by appealing melodies and is easy on the hands, but it is also quite demanding. The string part, on the other hand, is relatively easy and can be mastered by students if necessary. It is good entertainment music in the best sense, as divertimenti should be.Edition Güntersberg
