for violoncello and piano. The title of the fantasy Dulcinea (Durata: 7') has only a loose connection to the literary figure. Just as Don Quijote in the famous novel by Cervantes only dreams of his sweetheart as Dulcinea by Toboso, so here, in a musical way, Dulcinea's possible longings and daydreams are to be considered. The cheerful Castilian song "Límpiate con mi pañuelo" stands for dreamed-of joie de vivre and is intended to form the sharpest possible contrast to the elegiac passages with motivic echoes.
