Die Kunst, über eine Bass-Linie immer neue musikalische Ideen zu entwickeln, steht hier im Zentrum, ähnlich einer Passacaglia. „Overall, the somewhat neo-classical style suggests Hindemith (for me that’s a positive recommendation!) in its free flowing tonal counterpoint, effective use of harmony, texture, and instrumental colour – all ending with a very satisfying cadence.
